KENT AND STOWE BRIEF
For the Kent and Stowe live brief I created two designs for gardening gloves keeping within 4 pantone colours and designing a pattern to fit small scale products. My first design was heavily inspired by natures patchworking, organic shapes, textural tree bark and terrazzo wood and tiles. From this I created a design including earthy tones and irregular shapes, hoping to also hide the dirt patches created when gardening.
My second design was the polar opposite, a pattern bright and lively, not allowing you to look away. This design was inspired by London Undergrounds Moquette fabrics and their design purpose of never gong out of style. Using this as part of my inspiration I hope that my gloves would never need to be replaced due to trends or no fitting the users personal style due to pattern feeling so vivid and radiant.
